"

The search for truth is in one way hard and in another way easy, for it is evident that no one can master it fully or miss it wholly. But each adds a little to our knowledge of nature, and from all the facts assembled there arises a certain grandeur

Where is my leader?

Kashmir hamari shah rug hai

Afia Siddiqui hamari behen hai

Dil Dil Pakistan Jaan Jaan Pakistan

Israel hamara dushman hai

Drone attacks nahi honay chahye

kalabagh dam banna chahye

kalabagh dam nahi banna chahye

hamara mulk aik mushkil daur say guzar raha hai

adliya azad honi chahye

hamara mulk islam ka qila hai

sab say pehle Pakistan

Pakistan ka matlab kia? La-ilaha-ilalla

Ham mulk mein ghurbat ka khatam karain gay

Amreeka kay azayem khatarnak hain

Hamaray masayel ka zimmay daar amreeka hai

and that’s probably it! but no one addresses the real issues. And who’s to blame? The politicians? Well, I blame it mainly on the people, cos these are the lines used to fool our people. The people don’t even seem to know what the real problems are. And there is a complete lack of leadership.

I was watching this new video by Ali Azmat and it looked like Zaid Hamid directed his video. US and other super powers are responsible for the problems we are in. But the reality is that the problems we are in is because of our own selves. We have prioritized the non-issues. Our liberals sound like lame wannabes and our conservatives take this country as a test lab for their ideas.

We die in bomb blasts on daily basis but yet we don’t own to this war against terror. Our energy crisis have hit it’s worst ever yet we take out our frustrations only by sending jokes to each other concerning Zardari’s sisters. Our media keeps lying to us, and our people are made fools each and every hour.

When light goes, people either turn on their generators or UPS or even just sit outside in a shade and start discussing Osama’s death. The problems in the country sadly don’t suffocate the people but instead makes them laugh about them.

These people don’t even need a leader for themselves. They are numb from both inside and outside. Obviously when a good leader will come when there is a need for him to come, which there isn’t in our country. When the poor is happily subsidizing the rich and the rich is happy being subsidized, there is no way a good leader is ever going to come. A leader who has a better vision. A leader who is not a war-monger yet not so weak to give in to every demand of the US, a leader who is brave enough to change this entire system. A leader, who will address the real issues instead of small issues such as Afia Siddiqui being our sister or not. A leader who can shake hands with the world leaders and can make friends internationally. A leader who can make use of our own resources. A leader who can pay attention to our education system and increase the education budget. A leader who is brave enough to control this army and not let them make their own decisions. Who cares if Zulfiqaar Ali Bhutto’s death was justified or unjust, who cares if Afia Siddiqui was innocent or a terrorist, who cares one bit about all these non-issues? well, apparently, our people do care, and as long as they do, they will get what they deserve, a change is never going to come.
